The market is over 90 years old and is a real institution attracting many visitors from across Northern Ireland, especially during the summer months.
A weekly Saturday Market is held in Conway Square, BT23 4NP, Newtownards from 8am to 3pm and each year in September, a Harvest Fair is also usually held.
The market and the Harvest Fair are operated on a franchise basis, with each subject to public tender every five years.
