Get into the festive mood with plenty of family fun and entertainment. Holywood Chamber of Commerce have organised a Christmas market along Hibernia Street from 12-6pm, the perfect way to soak up the seasonal atmosphere and even purchase some gifts. A real highlight for children will be a giant inflatable snowman that they can climb inside.
Holywood District Community Council will be providing free family activities throughout the afternoon at Holywood Library. They have an exciting childrens fancy dress competition planned that will see the winner join Santa on his sleigh as he makes his way through the town centre and then the lucky child will join Santa and the Mayor of Ards and North Down on stage to switch on the Christmas lights.
Join the Mayor of Ards and North Down and Santa at Holywood Library for the town’s annual Christmas tree switch on at 4.30pm.
Christmas market organised by Holywood Chamber of Commerce taking place along Hibernia Street. With 15 stalls to choose from this would be the perfect opportunity to start your Christmas shopping while enjoying the festive atmosphere. Kids look out for the giant inflatable snowman – he’s not to be missed.
Holywood Churches together will be providing a nativity scene, drama and live music at High Street Presbyterian Church, finishing off with a Carol Service, all welcome.

3.45pm Come along in fancy dress and join in the procession following Santa on his route through the town.
4pm Watch as Santa and the Mayor lead the parade through the town ahead of the big switch on at 4.30pm. As the excitement builds, be amazed by three delicately illuminated ballet dancers assured to delight and mesmerise young and old.
4.30pm Christmas Lights Switch On and Fireworks (Fireworks will be best viewed from area of the town centre with views to sea including Sullivan Place area, and along the coastline the nearby coastline)
An interpreter will be on stage for the big switch on.
