Join in the fun with European Heritage Open Days (EHOD), Northern Ireland’s annual celebration of local architecture, history and culture now in its 24th year.
Organised by the Department for Communities EHOD, offers an exciting line up of events which will take place both online as well as on site events, all of which are free of charge! The theme for EHOD 2021 in Northern Ireland is ‘Inclusion – exploring our hidden history together'.
Digital Events - 6 to 12 September
The week-long digital event will include virtual visits to sites and properties, guided tours and a host of online lectures and talks whilst the more traditional outdoor event will see properties open their doors to the public as well as a hosting lectures and talks.
On Site Events - 10 to 12 September
Over 250 heritage buildings and events are opening during this weekend free of charge, with guided tours and walks, hosted talks and much more. A number of these properties are not normally open to the public so this really is a fantastic opportunity to explore the legacy of our historical past.
