About

Ever wanted to get behind the scenes and discover how our museum objects are stored? Come along to this special tour of the Folk Life collection stores at the Ulster Folk Museum.

Our stores are packed floor to ceiling with fascinating objects from our folk history. Join our Curator of History, Fiona Byrne, for a guided tour through the stores on Friday 26th April exploring everything from cradles to crocks. Fiona will show you some of the more significant objects in the stores such as our Halloween cap and vernacular chairs. Fiona will also provide an insight into the work that goes on behind the scenes to maintain this important national collection.
