The annual Comber Earlies Food Festival is a wonderful day out filled with family fun, cookery demos in the Festival Kitchen and activities that celebrate the Comber Earlies potato which holds PGI Status, part of Taste Summer in Ards and North Down running 25 June - 6 July 2025.

Catch live demonstrations throughout the day from our wonderful chefs joining us in the 2025 Festival Kitchen, not only are we welcoming Anna Haugh and Lotte Duncan, but we are also delighted some local chefs are cooking for us too! Wowing us with their culinary talents are, Jim Mulholland from No. 14 at The Georgian House, Comber along with Andrew Turner from The Old Inn, Crawfordsburn.

Jim Mulholland has found his home within the walls of the award-winning No. 14 Georgian House in Comber, his aim - to blend the old and new to tell the story of Ireland’s past along with its future. His ethos of creativity and culinary expression has led to an individual style that is both rare as it is highly sought after, It is local produce cooked well and given the Mulholland signature at the Michelin Guide awarded restaurant.

Andrew Turner, Executive Head Chef at The Old Inn, Crawfordsburn

Andrew has a long spanning history of experience in the professional kitchen which eventually led him to return to Ireland and set up residence in Northern Ireland in 2016. In early in 2017, Andy and his wife set up Hara, a seasonal restaurant in the Village of Royal Hillsborough, County Down.
Winning numerous awards including, best new comer 2018 and recommended in the Michelin Guide from 2018 until 2022, as well as Bridgestone top 100 best restaurants in Ireland.
In the summer of 2022 they remodelled Hara into Hara at Home and Andy joined the Galgorm Collection as Head Chef at The Old Inn, Crawfordsburn in 2023, being promoted in January 2025 to Executive Head Chef.
