Donaghadee highlights...
  1. A photo of Donaghadee from above showing the Motte
Home to the only Camera Obscura on the island of Ireland. Seasonal opening 2024: Summer, May to September (See Opening Times).
    1. Image of Donaghadee lighthouse and boats tied in the harbour
Donaghadee lies on the Irish Sea coast and as such is popular with water enthusiasts, anglers and those who simply like to be beside the seaside.
    2. Photo of Golf Club front
Founded in 1899, this part-seaside and partopen parkland course has several lurking water hazards to catch the unthinking shot. The eighteenth is an intimidating finishing hole with out of bounds on both left and right.
      1. Two images, one of Donaghadee lighthouse and harbour and the other of a film clap board and film reel. Donaghadee is located on the eastern shore of Ards and North Down.

BBC TV series 'Hope Street' first hit our screens in late 2021, and is filmed entirely in the 'Beacon on the Coast', Donaghadee, or ‘The Dee’ as it is known to locals! Fans of the hit police drama are flocking to the thriving town to see its seaside beauty.

      2. Distillery tours immerse visitors in the botanicals of the smuggler-inspired spirits
Truly immerse yourself at The Copeland Distillery, where you’ll hear tales of secret smugglers, savage battles and remarkable voyages, all while soaking up our coastal spirits of whiskey, gin, and rum.
