About
The classic original black and white film with a spine-tingling live organ soundtrack by the award-winning Aaron Hawthorne.
In 15th-century France, a gypsy girl is framed for murder by the infatuated Chief Justice, and only the deformed bellringer of Notre Dame Cathedral can save her...
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923) is a silent film starring Lon Chaney as Quasimodo, the bellringer of Notre Dame, and Patsy Ruth Miller as Esmerelda. It was directed by Wallace Worsley and produced by Carl Laemmle and Irving Thalberg.
Aaron Hawthorne is a sought-after silent film and concert organist from Scotland and performs regularly across the UK, Europe, and the USA.
In 2019, Aaron won the Young Theatre Organist Competition in New York after winning the UK title earlier, and later received the Ian Sutherland Award for his promise as a theatre organist.
Aaron has completed three UK silent film tours, performing classics like "The Phantom of the Opera" (1925), "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror"(1922), and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"(1923) earning praise for introducing new audiences to silent films and the pipe organ's unique sound.
