New for 2022

This experience is Sold Out.

Those who have fallen head-over-petticoat for the drama and romance of Downton Abbey, will relish the opportunity to be one of the first to explore the extensive basement and servants quarters, under Ballywalter Park, Mansion House, built in 1730.
Immerse yourself in a treasure trove of stories, told by the current Lady of the House, from the first owner George Matthews to the Mulholland family who live there today.

A unique opportunity to see the "downstairs working life" of a country mansion house, and a fascinating glimpse into lives spent ‘in service’.
Following the tour, Lady Dunleath will provide a light lunch of seasonal produce, from the Walled Garden, served in the beautifully restored stables. This tour is not to be missed!

All children must be accompanied by an adult and pay full price ticket cost | Tour covers uneven ground. Suitable footwear is advisable | Relevant Covid-19 restrictions, at the time of the tour, will be included in tour information | The lunch will be vegetarian, using ingredients from the garden.
