Drop in to Ards Visitor Information Centre in March to see a display of stunning bird photos and art by members of North Down Birdwatching Club. Come along to get some ideas for spring with handout leaflets on bird ID, nest box advice, club event list, wildlife crime and more.
Do you know which birds you can spot in the local area and how you can play your part in helping them to thrive? Local birdwatching expert Dot Blakely, artist, Adele Pound, and friends from North Down Birdwatching Club have put together this display to help you find out how.
Many of you will be familiar with Dot Blakely's Saturday morning birdwatching contributions to Radio Ulster's "Your Place and Mine." Adele Pound's name may not be quite so familiar, but she is a talented artist specialising in wildlife and drawing her inspiration from the birdlife of Strangford Lough and the North Down coast. Members of North Down Birdwatching Club have contributed some wonderful photographs to make this display a must see for anyone with an interest in our local birdlife.
