Join us for an afternoon of Art in the beautiful surroundings of the Walled Garden, Helen’s Bay.
This lovely experience will provide you with the opportunity to develop or expand your painting skills under the watchful eye of professional artist, John Cooney who has received awards from the Royal Ulster Academy, The Watercolour Society of Ireland and was given second prize in the prestigious Artist of the Year in the Mall Galleries London
There will be a well-earned mid-afternoon break for homemade tea and cake to further fuel your creativity and the opportunity to stroll through the garden.
The workshops are suitable for all abilities and are limited to small classes of 12 to allow for plenty of one-to-one guidance and will be held outdoors with provisions being made for inclement weather.
You will be required to provide your own art materials. The following list of artist quality materials have been chosen as they provide value for money
· Winsor & Newton 390636 Cotman Watercolour Paint Set, 12 x 8 ml Tubes
· 2B pencil (any make) or
· Winsor and Newton Ultramarine blue/ Prussian blue/ Sap green/ Cadmium yellow hue/ Alizarin crimson hue/ Burnt Umber
· Plastic 12” ruler
· Langton or Bockingford Watercolour paper pad 9” x 12” ‘NOT SURFACE’
· Princeton Aqua Elite brushes series 4850, round, nos 3 & 6 or similar
