Enjoy photographs from among the first aerial photos of Northern Ireland from 90 years ago

30 January 2019 - 31 March 2019

This photographic exhibition developed by Armagh Observatory is from an album compiled by Henry (Harry) Havelock Ellison (1902-1979).  During the 1920s, he assisted with a pioneering aerial survey of Northern Ireland for the Ancient Monuments Advisory Committee.

These photographs are among the very first aerial photos of Northern Ireland and the wealth of detail recorded makes each one of them a unique historical record of our towns and landscape more than 90 years ago.
