An exhibition by Leila Henry exploring the effects of coastal erosion.
The works shown in this exhibition by Leila Henry are taken from a series of drawings exploring the effects of coastal erosion.
Over the last two and a half years, Leila has been observing the impact of unusually high tides on the dunes at Ballyhernan Beach, on the Fanad Peninsula. This erosion is occurring all along our coast, and while it is presumed that the dunes will eventually regenerate, the topography of the landscape will be irrevocably changed.
