About

Suitable for: Couples, young families, romantic getaway, walkers, cyclists and dog lovers.

'Rose Cottage' is a pretty, traditional Irish cottage which dates back to 1860. It is located on a listed street, on the edge of the small historic village of Greyabbey with its Cistercian abbey dating back to 1160. The abbey is set in beautiful parkland and is just across the way from the Cottage. Greyabbey has a number of historic buildings and a selection of antique and vintage shops, restaurants and coffee shops.

Rose Cottage is deceptively spacious with wonderful old beams, high ceilings, wooden and quarry floor tiles and original sash windows. It is furnished with a mixture of vintage and contemporary pieces yet maintains its rustic charm with many originalfeatures and with all modern home comforts. Relax in a large living room, large kitchen with dining area and a sunny courtyard perfect for alfesco dining. Please note that as the shower room is ensuite, the cottage is best suited to a couple or a family travelling with children. It can be easily accesse through the bedroom.
There is on-street parking across from the cottage or you can park in the church car park which is just across the way beside the Abbey. Rose Cottage has been featured in "25 Beautiful Homes" and "Ireland Homes & Interiors" Magazines.

The stunning National Trust properties at Mount Stewart and Castleward are close by. Mount Stewart is renowned for its stunning house and gardens, fabulous walking trails, a coffee and gift shop and an outdoor woodland adventure park. There are many popular events throughout the year including jazz concerts and vintage fairs. It is less than 5 minutes drive fromm the cottage. Castleward is the spot for Game of Thrones renowned as Winterfell.
We are less than 10 minutes walk from Orange Tree Houose wedding venue.
