The popular maritime festival returns with plenty of fun plus a celebration of the Armed Forces
Throughout the weekend, Sea Bangor’s maritime themed festival will once again delight all with a host of activities including live music, food stalls, street theatre and impressive displays which the event is known and loved for.
This year the Council is proud to host the Northern Ireland Armed Forces Day on Saturday. Highlights include an Armed Forces Parade, Drumhead Service and Beating Retreat, with activities throughout the weekend commemorating the Forces. This event is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community.

10.50am Armed Forces Parade steps off from Bangor Town Hall, down Castle Park Road to
Main Street, onwards to McKee Clock Arena followed by the Drumhead Service and at 5.30pm
the Beating Retreat. These activities will be compered by UTV's Paul Clarke.

Frank Mitchell will host this afternoon of superb music at Bangor’s Seafront. Taking to the stage, we have Bangor Grammar Jazz Orchestra, Open House Festival Choir and Los Amigos, with a jazz and blues finale by singer Dana Masters and her Big Band.

Somme Museum - Sea Bangor Shuttle
A free shuttle bus will run between the Somme Museum and Bangor Translink Station (Stand 1).
The service will run regularly through the day from 10.30am-4pm.
Travel by car
Follow the A2 from Belfast to Bangor.
Car parking is available throughout the town.
