The Carol Ships ‘Parade of Lights’ began over 50 years ago
The Carol Ships ‘Parade of Lights’ began over 50 years ago with one boat decorated with Christmas lights in what was the ‘Coal Harbour’, Vancouver. The tradition has now grown to more than 50 boats with in excess of 100,000 lights.
This year Vancouver comes to Strangford with our own version of The Carol Ships. Strangford ferry will be adorned with festive lights and local groups will be entertaining us with Christmas Carols. There will also be market stalls selling festive delights and plenty to entertain the children with face painting and storytelling to name but a few.
This festival presents a spectacular sight in Strangford and Portaferry, a unique Christmas experience with the Christmas lights and carol singing on the ferry. A must for the exciting build up to Christmas.
